Experimentation opens up opportunities to see design and digital media in new forms, and how these new forms can be as creative and innovative as future designs.
Topics include, but not limited to:

  • Media Experiment
  • Virtual Media
  • Media Documentation
  • Media Text and Institution
  • Media Production

5. Culture and Society:
This thematic group is a space for sharing ideas about cultural and societal changes with the presence of virtuality. Virtuality has offered our concept and understanding of proximity, loss of distance, our understanding of cultural heritage, use of new and old technology, social media, spoken and written language, and so on.

6. Psychology and Perception:
Virtuality has become a part of human reality. This thematic group welcomes thoughts about psychological effects and virtual experiences when humans interact with society in cyberspace, the involvement of human emotions, virtual addiction, the perspective of presence, immersion.

7. Economy and Law:
This thematic group provides a space for exchange of ideas and contributions from interdisciplinary researchers of design, economics, and law.
